It Takes Two - #183

Ever wonder how we can make the game a little less complicated? This episode is for you. Scott Fawcett is an innovative thinker who has created a course management system proven to lower scores. Sound too easy to believe? Then listen to this interview and just might find out the truth.

Greg Norman is about to try and revolutionize the professional golf status quo. He's the CEO of a new upstart league based in the Asia Tour. With no players named yet, they plan to start with 10 events in 2022! We'll see how it turns out, but for now there's plenty to discuss.

The Weekly Update gets into JR Smith's fellow NC A&T golfers, weight limits for planes, locked bathrooms and "obvious" wins.

Each week we create a meaningful message. This week it starts with Rory McIlroy and continues through our guest Ryan Ballengee. The creator and owner of Golf News Net. A comprehensive golf media platform where "you can find everything you need to know about golf."

His passion comes through his prose and you can hear it in this interview. A cool discussion about being an entrepreneur who really enjoys the journey. Maybe even more than the reward? In either case, his candor is refreshing and analysis spot on when it comes to covering the best stories in golf.

The Weekly Update covers the two most popular collegiate golfers in America - Rose Zhang and JR Smith, Rory, Rickie and Lee Janzen.

Golf's original entertainer Peter Jacobsen joins Keith this week. Together they discuss the current and future state of the game. Jacobsen has been a leading ambassador for connecting professionals and fans for decades. His honest and open opinion is not only refreshing, but brilliant.

In 2022, the PGA Tour Champions is introducing a new team event called the World Champions Cup. Teams from Europe, the World and USA will compete in a modern style Ryder Cup match. Fans and players love team events and Peter is the perfect promoter. To close, his Rapid Fire Q&A is off the charts funny.

The Weekly Update discusses the buzz around JR Smith's first collegiate tournament, Phil versus the USGA and a young woman shoots 57 in a high school championship!

These Days - #180

The PGA Tour starts two weeks in Las Vegas and the LPGA wraps up two weeks in New Jersey. Golf is busy for October and shows no signs of slowing down. Especially the LPGA tour who announced big news this week. Keith spent a couple days ay the Cognizant Founders Cup and has the whole story.

Katherine Kirk is a 3-time winner on the LPGA tour and she joins Keith to give her perspective on this elite event in north Jersey. As usual, Keith's conversation goes way past golf and takes Katherine all the way back to college and Africa as a way of covering current events.

The Weekly Update reports last week's winners as only Keith can. Brooks and Bryson have a match, Phil explains Physics and of course, more JR Smith and his journey through college.

Free - #179

The show starts quick as there's a surprise caller in the first segment with a big announcement! It's a cool concept for the Cognizant Founders Cup next week in northern New Jersey. Speaking of the Founders Cup, Scott Wood is the Tournament Director of the vanguard LPGA tournament and he joins us as well.

It's an event that has moved from Arizona, missed 2020 and has quickly become a premiere players event in 2021. Scott's perspective really puts the powerful growth of the LPGA into perspective and his candor on what the future holds is quite interesting.

The Weekly Update covers Bryson's loooong week, JT's recovery, DJ's party practices and a big move by Farmers.
